All transactions between CJ Waterproofing and the Client will be subject to the terms and conditions contained hereinafter.

 

1. CJ Waterproofing will give a 10-year guarantee with a maintenance plan on their workmanship - CJ Waterproofing will come every two years to do roof inspection, no call out fee will be charged for the roof inspection it is up to the client contact CJ waterproofing and Renovations when the inspection is due otherwise the guarantee is voided. Should there be any new hail damage or hail holes, cracked tiles, damaged tiles, damage to the membrane or damage due to an act of God are found on the waterproofing after the work has been completed the guarantee and maintenance plan will be put on hold on to the damaged area of the roof, this will not affect the undamaged roof. CJ Waterproofing will provide a quote for the repairs costs and can be claimed from the client’s insurance. (If there is a hailstorm or storm due to an act of God before the 2-year inspection is due, CJ Waterproofing will need to be contacted by the client so they can come and do roof inspection for insurance purposes if any damage is found CJ Waterproofing will provide a quote for the repairs costs and can be claimed from the client’s insurance.)

2. If the waterproofing is tampered with by any third party the guarantee and maintenance plan the area that has been tampered with will be rendered null and void, not all the roofs.

3. The 10 guarantee and maintenance plan will expire at the end of the 10-year period, the 10-year guarantee and maintenance plan start once the work is completed and once the CJ waterproofing have received the final invoice payment.

4. The client will be required to pay a 75% deposit on acceptance of the quote and the balance on completion. Unless otherwise

specified in writing.

5. Once the work is finished on the roof the final balance is to be paid in full within 48 hours upon receiving the final invoice.

6. Any cancellations of quotations accepted will have a 20% cancellation fee charged to the client. (To cover our bank and admin

charges).

7. Timeous access to the site is to be made available by the Client at all times for the completion of the contract.

8. The client takes full responsibility for removing all items of furniture/fittings/fixtures/vehicles etc, to mitigate any damage that could occur during the course of the contract.

9. If the Client requires any additional work or alterations other than as specified in the quote, the client will be quoted separately as per the client’s request. IE: the client would like their front door replaced.

10. The client must keep the roof and gutters free from leaves and debris. (Stormwater outlets are to be kept unobstructed.)

11. Unspecified areas are excluded from the above quotation.

12. No oral agreement will alter this contract.

13. No oral agreement will be accepted unless the additional terms have been stated in the contract.

14. No amendments to the contract will be accepted once the contract has been signed by both parties.

15. If payment is not received after 7 days of sending the final invoice, CJ Waterproofing rights remain reserved to proceed with legal action and the client will be responsible for legal costs on an Attorney and won Client scale. CJ Waterproofing will have the right to confiscate all items and products used to build, construct, or repair roofs or structures.

16. If an insurance company uses their own services provider to repair any form of damage to the roofs and it effect the waterproofing which was completed by CJ Waterproofing, the service provider workmanship has to be signed off by CJ waterproofing on the area of roof or roofs that is affected otherwise the guarantee will be voided.

17. If there are leaks after the work is completed, the client is to advise CJ Waterproofing and we will come through within 48 hours’ notice period to do an inspection and we repair the leak within the 10-year guarantee and maintenance plan only if the leaks are due to our workmanship.

Should any part or provision of these Terms and Conditions be held unenforceable or in conflict with the applicable law of any jurisdiction, the validity of the remaining parts or provisions shall not be affected thereby.
